Griff Cowan

A true MC behind the mic with more than 9 years of time spent mastering the art of linguistics. Griff Cowan can’t breathe without a creative output and lives in the studio — constantly writing and recording. Griff started out similar to many other creatives, in his bedroom. Although, Griff’s method was more similar to a monk. Locked away from the outside interference of the world Griff wrote and rapped for many years before presenting to the people. No microphone and no method of recording didn’t matter. He would rap to the wall if he had to. Nothing has stood in the way of perfecting his craft. He now has his own independent label (9th Realm Records) as well as a home base with a full recording studio and a back warehouse filled with paintings. Griff has one mission, to save the world from evil. He’s landed from space and the take over begins now.

Damin Lujan

Damin Lujan aka zaoone was born in Los Angeles, Ca where he grew up skateboarding and drawing. His artistic eye was shaped by the graffiti throughout the streets of LA. He now feels most comfortable creating artwork with a spray can. Most of his early works consisted of graffiti letters covering skate decks plastered with bible pages. He moved into large scale pieces and prefers to work in a larger scale now. Over the years, he has broaden his artistic repertoire to include sign painting and hand lettering. Skipping the digital format, Damin prefers to hand draw his artwork, which has progressed into hands-on projects involving wood. He began creating unique triangle floating shelves for local businesses and homes, which led to the expansion of his woodworking portfolio to include desks, custom displays and trade show booths. Recently he has teamed up with his friend Brian Peterson, who runs the non-profit, Faces of Santa Ana, to create large scale murals bringing dignity and hope for those who live in the margins of our society.

Paul Ortega

Costa Mesa-based artist Paul Ortega paints just about anything and everything including canvases, wood panels, skateboards/surfboards, hats, denim/leather jackets, walls, and many other found objects. Drawing on his graphic design background, Ortega has always incorporated typography in his work—sometimes as the main focus and sometimes used as texture in the background. He paints intuitively, inspired by music and movement. He starts each painting session by putting on his playlist of the week and throwing paint on a canvas to warm up and get the ideas flowing. “The freedom of gestural abstract painting is a complete contrast to the confined tendencies of graphic design,” Ortega said. www.facebook.com/paulortegadesigns
